The TUB chair is cut along an inclined plane in a pvc flow pipe, so that the cutting line is a perfect ellipse. It can also be made by cutting out an expanded PVC sheet which is then rolled. This method does not create a loss of material since then the cutting line is a perfect sinusoid that separates the PVC sheet into two parts, each of which makes it possible to produce a chair. By distributing these chairs as well as small round tables on a hexagonal frame we see that each chair can be associated with three tables which is very convenient to realize a kind of outdoor "bistro" without using too many chairs (see pictures below ).
